Join us at our rustic campground along the banks of the Mississippi River backwaters for unforgettable camping adventures. Fin and Feather campground offers a true camping experience with gorgeous sunset views. Enjoy camping, birding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and stargazing. The location is a gateway to the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge, has direct access to the Great River Bike Trail, a short drive to hiking at Palasades State Park, downtown Savanna and so much more.

Fin and Feather is family owned and operated by James and Danika Perron. We also own and operate Spring Lake Campground, which is just up the road. We take pride in having a place our guests can come to and relax and unplug. We are stewards to the land and water and prioritize nature. Our campgrounds are simple, we let the wildlife and the beauty of the backwaters be the focal point. Please note that the lake is not known for swimming, it is a refuge. The lake fills with plants like American Yellow Lotus and is abundant with wildlife. Our amenities are trees, water, sunsets and stars. We offer seasonal sites and drop in camping. Our drop in sites focus on primitive tent camping and smaller van, truck or camper options, but please no generators. There are no full hook ups or dump station on site. We offer a pump out service for the seasonal RVs. There is no shower house, we offer well maintained port a johns and access to potable water at spigots. There is firewood available for purchase on site. We keep things relaxed and natural. Feel free to reach out to us for any questions about our campground.
